Less frequently skied than most lines at the pass. Head up and over like you’re going to ski the very top of Vortex and drop into the next drainage over. Depending on how filled in this drainage is you can approach it from a number of angles. The most consistently filled in is from partway down the shoulder between the Mines drainage and the Robert Creek drainage. Right down the center of the drainage is in the low 30°s the skiers left side is in the mid to upper 30°s. From here it’s about 800-1000 vert down to a dogleg in the drainage. After which the drainage tightens and steepens as it heads into the trees. Follow the gully all the way down to the very lower section of 7 Mile and to 40 at the bottom switchback on the North side. A really fun line from top to bottom but not usually filled in and stable until later in the season.
